Director Paul Feig and comedic actress Melissa McCarthy have teamed up once again for the secret agent parody film, Spy. Co-starring Jude Law and Jason Statham as outed spies and Rose Byrne as the diabolical villain, this 2015 film shows us what happens when a CIA analyst has to take on the position of an operative to save the world. Call Woody Allen what you will – we know Dylan Farrow has a few words for him considering that open letter she wrote a while back calling on those pedophilia and abuse claims – but it’s never lazy. The famed comedian, writer, director, producer and musician just inked a deal with Amazon Studios in what will be his first-ever television series. Following their Golden Globe win for the Jeffrey Tambor-led series Transparent, it’s no wonder that the studio is looking for their next big project. Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee may be off the air for a little bit but it seems Seinfeld isn’t done delivering to his followers a collection of funny goodness … if that’s a thing? Just last week, the Seinfeld star shared a Single Shot video – you know, the “Grow A Pair” clip – just after his NBC series co-creator, and Curb Your Enthusiasm star, Larry David gave an in-depth interview on the Howard Stern Show for his new Broadway play Fish in the Dark. It’s official … Stephen Colbert is heading to CBS this coming Sept. 8! The former Colbert Report host ended his reign on Comedy Central at the end of last year, but it’ll be a little while until we see him taking the spot at the Ed Sullivan Theater. With David Letterman’s last show coming May 20, there will be a significant amount of time before Colbert shows his out-of-character persona on camera, but that just means we’ll be able to kick off the Fall 2015 in style! Wet Hot American Summer is coming to Netflix as a new original series on the streaming service, from the creators of the cult-classic 2001 summer camp parody film. So what should we expect 14 years later in 2015? How about a prequel with the same actors, now older, playing younger characters? It’s being reported that Taylor Negron, an actor who consistently maintained a recognizable face in some of the biggest films and televisions in Hollywood history – including Friends, Seinfeld and the 1980s film Fast Times at Ridgemont High – has passed away at the age of 57. Negron died just yesterday (Saturday, Jan. 10), and was found by his cousin, Chuck Negron. The actor was famed for playing Allesandro in the famed 90s series Friends, which starred Lisa Kudrow, who just finished up playing Valerie Cherish in HBO’s The Comeback. Read More »
