'28 Months Later' Movie in the Works?

Writer and recent director Alex Garland garnered a cult following of fans after penning the hit "zombie" movie 28 Days Later, which received a popular sequel, 28 Weeks Later. Considering we live in a time where the film industry loves reboots, remakes and the like, we're all wondering when 28 Months Later will be announced! Well, while promoting his new sci-fi movie Ex Machina, Garland revealed that he and filmmaker Danny Boyle discussed this third installment, and he's even written a script treatment for the next movie - though he won't participate in the project further.
