Fans of the Marvel Comic Books superhero Black Panther were pretty excited to learn that Selma director Ava DuVernay was approached to take on the role of director in the highly anticipated movie adaptation of the character. Unfortunately, news of DuVernay's turning down the project has already spread faster than any casting rumors, so we won't get to see how the filmmaker would handle one of Marvel Cinematic Universe's movies just yet.
