For a while now the media has been up in arms against legendary stand-up and TV comedian Bill Cosby, who ten years ago admitted to drugging women with Quaaludes in order to be able to have sex with them. Recently it has come to light that there was indeed a doctor who was prescribing these pills to Cosby specifically. It's hard to believe that this physician didn't question how the prescription was to be used but according to the Washington Post, Cosby received seven prescriptions from Leroy Amar, "a gynecologist and plastic surgeon," who was licensed in California, New York and Maryland throughout his troubled career. The New York Times obtained Bill Cosby's full 2005 court transcript and made the files public. In Cosby's court deposition he spoke of different methods of pursuit he'd use to sleep with women. He offered young women career advice, used his wealth to lure them in and even asked one woman about her father's death in a way of "pushing them for sex acts." Read More »
The recently announced comedy special Bill Cosby 77 was set to premiere on Netflix on Nov. 28, the comedian's 77th birthday. This week, however, Netflix announced that it would postpone the premiere of the stand up special, most likely due to the recent rape allegations and scandal surrounding the former TV star.
