The Chicago Bears will hire John Fox as their new head coach, according to reports. The NFL team have apparently settled on the former Denver Broncos head coach — who parted ways with (read: was fired by) the Broncos and their GM John Elway on Monday following the Broncos loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday — to replace former Bears coach Marc Trestman, who was let go after the season. Fox had a 46-18 record over his four years with the Broncos — one with Tim Tebow at quarterback and the other three with Peyton Manning — and went to the playoffs each year for a 2-3 record. The Chicago Bears have benched quarterback Jay Cutler, as head coach Marc Trestman looks to avoid being fired. The NFL team will instead start backup Jimmy Clausen for their game against the NFC North divisional rival Detroit Lions this Sunday, say reports. Cutler - married to Laguna Beach and The Hills star Kristin Cavallari - is the highest-paid offensive player in the NFL, and has a seven year, $126 million contract, and will make over $20 million next year, but this benching means that the Bears could be looking to trade their starting QB, and draft a new quarterback in the 2015 NFL draft.
