The Chicago Bears will hire John Fox as their new head coach, according to reports. The NFL team have apparently settled on the former Denver Broncos head coach — who parted ways with (read: was fired by) the Broncos and their GM John Elway on Monday following the Broncos loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday — to replace former Bears coach Marc Trestman, who was let go after the season. Fox had a 46-18 record over his four years with the Broncos — one with Tim Tebow at quarterback and the other three with Peyton Manning — and went to the playoffs each year for a 2-3 record. Chicago Bears teammates Kyle Long and Martellus Bennet have engaged in a Twitter spat after one of them unfollowed the other. Offensive linesman and right guard Long and tight end Bennett proved that the Bears don't even need to be on the field to continue to confuse and dismay fans, with the 5-11 Bears season ending three weeks ago in a hail of terribly thrown Jay Cutler passes with a 13-9 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, which led to the eventual firing of coach Marc Trestman.
