Towards the end of 2013, it was revealed that Lawrence Kasdan, the writer of The Empire Strikes Back, would be taking over writing the script for 2015's Star Wars Episode VII alongside director J.J. Abrams. On top of this position, a new report claims that Kasdan is also penning a Boba Fett standalone film for the newly rebooted Star Wars film universe. Star Wars: Episode VII just hit a bit of a snag this week with writer Michael Arndt pulling out of the project. Luckily, the film's director J.J. Abrams has stepped in to finish the script with Empire Strikes Back co-writer Lawrence Kasdan.
