Tamar Braxton is taking her empire to the next level! The "Tamar & Vince" star is adding yet another title to her long resume: Fashion Retailer. The songstress recently debuted her first-ever online retail store called "Tamar Collection," in which she will feature various designers including Armani Exchange, BCBG and more for sale. Tamar has always had an eye for fashion and her new retail site allows her to showcase her favorite finds for her followers to invest in. A petition to get Gap Inc.'s Old Navy to stop charging more for women's plus-sized jeans has already gathered more than 35,000 signatures online. The petition charges Old Navy with sexism, noting that a pair of women's plus-sized jeans can cost about $15 more than regular jeans, while a pair of men's jeans costs the same no matter the size. Customers are also calling for Old Navy to put the larger apparel into stores, instead of just selling it online. Old Navy said the price difference has to do with craftsmanship. The items are specifically designed and manufactured for plus-sized women and cost more to make, Debbie Felix, an Old Navy spokeswoman, said in an e-mail. Read More »
A decade has passed since Karl Lagerfeld did a one-off collaboration for Swedish retailer H&M and the fashion industry has never been the same. "I never expected it to make such a splash," said Lagerfeld. "Inexpensive is not 'cheap' anymore, that's why the luxury industry has to make an even bigger effort. I think all that is very healthy."
