Nine Inch Nails Tour 2013: Guitarist Adrian Belew Leaves Band Following Fall Tour Dates Announcement, Deletes 'Farewell' Facebook Post

Just a day after industrial band Nine Inch Nails announced the title of its new album, released a new single and announced its Fall tour dates, guitarist Adrian Belew has reportedly left the band. creating a variety of unusual sounds, a quality that meshes with Nine Inch Nails tendency towards organized chaos. Reznor had cited Belew as important in the decision to reform Nails earlier this year. "I was working with Adrian Belew on some musical ideas," he said in a statement, "which led to some discussion on performing, which led to some beard-scratching, which (many steps later) led to the decision to re-think the idea of what Nine Inch Nails could be, and the idea of playing a show." Trent Reznor has announced that Nine Inch Nails will release a new studio album - the first since 2008's The Slip - sometime this year on their new label, Columbia Records.
