Steve Carell North Korea Movie Cancelled Amidst 'The Interview' Terrorist Threats

Back in 2013, New Regency announced a new film project based on Guy Delisle's graphic novel Pyongyang, which followed an American working in North Korea. Gore Verbinski was set to helm the project with Steve Carell set to star. This movie has officially been cancelled after the scary situation this month with the Sony email hacks and the cancelation of The Interview, which was a comedy about assassinating dictator Kim Jong-un. With the future of this Seth Rogen and James Franco comedy looking pretty bleak, New Regency decided to shelf the Carell picture indefinitely, probably to avoid terrorist threats. Read More »
