While the 2013 'Firefly Music Festival' goers are still raving about their enlightening experience this past weekend at The Woodlands in Dover, Delaware, the time is already here to start planning for the return of the festival next year! The dates for Firefly 2014 (revealed only days after the wrap of this weekend's festivities) have officially been set for June 20-June 22, 2014 and pre-sale tickets were made available on Wednesday morning (June 26th). This year's 2nd annual Firefly Festival was undoubtedly a success with nearly 60,000 people flocking to the 87-acre Woodlands of Dover International Speeday to experience the 77-band lineup, notes The Inquirer. Although newcomers to the summer music festival scene, Firefly flew in a veteran-worthy bill of artists to headline 'The East Coast's Premier Music Experience' including Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Vampire Weekend, Foster the People, Passion Pit, Ellie Goulding, MGMT, and many more. Party animals get ready!! The Phase 2 headliners for 'Electric Zoo 2013' NYC have finally been unleashed, making the lineup for the EDM festival even more ferocious! Along with the recent additions of artists like A-Trak, Baauer, Dog Blood, & Fedde Le Grand to the list of performers at this year's festival, E Zoo has also announced that Friday "Combo Paks" are now being offered for a limited time. Festival-goers now can choose which two days of Labor Day Weekend that they would like to spend at the Zoo (Fri/Sat or Fri/Sun), with the new 2-Day General Admission Pass option. For the dedicated party animals that can handle all three days of madness, ignore the combo pak option. Celebrating its 5th year anniversary, the three-day EDM festival will take place Labor Day Weekend (August 30th-September 1st) at its usual New York City location, Randall's Island. This year's 'Zoo' promises to be bigger and better as it now features two Main Stages (Main Stage East & Main Stage West) that will be occupied by some of the biggest DJ's in dance music including David Guetta, Avicii, Sebastian Ingrosso, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, and many more (see full LINEUP below). The Pitchfork Music Festival is relatively new by music festival standards, but that doesn't make it any less awesome. The festival started in 2006 by Pitchfork Media and occurs every summer in Chicago's Union Park. The 2013 Pitchfork Music Festival will be taking place July 19-21 and the show just announced its full lineup, with some major acts scheduled to appear. Read More »
