After just one day of raising funds through crowd funding, Broken Lizard has reached and surpassed its $2 million minimum campaign goal on IndieGoGo for the upcoming Super Troopers 2 movie project. The guys of Broken Lizard have officially announced its IndieGoGo campaign (after initially stating a Kickstarter would be used) for Super Troopers 2, with a goal of $2 million put in place. 20th Century Fox has announced that it will distribute the film if the goal is met and production is completed. This means that we can expect a whole bunch of great new quotes from the crew that brought us the 2001 cult classic comedy, this time with brand a brand new plot! Ever since the 2001 laugh-riot comedy Super Troopers hit theaters in 2001, becoming a cult classic in the years to come, we've all pretty much begged for a sequel. We've heard rumors and a lot of promising talk about Super Troopers 2, but this week star Steve Lemme pretty much confirmed that Broken Lizard is making the film just as soon as it gets funded.
