Khloe Kardashian's Flight to NY Makes Emergency Landing in Las Vegas

Khloe Kardashian has had her share of drama in the last few months, including ex-husband Lamar Odom's medical emergency, but her latest incident was perhaps just as scary. It seems on a recent American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to New York, the 31-year-old reality star's plane experienced an equipment malfunction when the pilots reported a mysterious electrical smell in the cockpit. They immediately took action and made an emergency landing in Las Vegas.

According to E! online, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, who was traveling with her make-up artist and friend Joyce Bonelli, took to Twitter to explain her situation and in typical Kardashian fashion she also posted a photo of herself in a classy travel outfit.

A rep for McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas told ET, "An American airlines flight 256 departed from LA en route to JFK. They called for an emergency landing due to concerns of smoke in the cockpit. The plane landed safely at 3:18 p.m. and the alert was terminated (everything was found safe) at 3:27 p.m."

The E! personality was on her way to Manhattan as part of a promotional tour for her upcoming talk show Kocktails With Khloe, which premieres next Wednesday, Jan. 20th on FYI.  The network's press release describes the one-hour show as "celebrity guests and friends joining Khloe in the kitchen and around the table for an intimate dinner party filled with cooking, pop culture, conversation and outrageously fun party games." 

At present, eight episodes have been ordered.

Fortunately, James Harden's current squeeze, despite rumors to the contrary, is scheduled for the next flight from Vegas to the Big Apple on Wednesday morning.  She is booked to appear on GMA where no doubt the incident will probably be discussed.  Ironically, according to TMZ, another passenger on the Kardashian's plane was Ray Donavan actor Liev Schreiber.
