The Spice Girls are one of the most popular girl groups of all time, but fans may not be able to see their magic -- in full -- on stage again. According to a report, Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, has ruled out any involvement in the group's 20th anniversary or a reunion tour.
A representative for the 41-year-old fashion designer told TMZ that Posh will not be joining her fellow former Spices -- Geri (Ginger) Halliwell, Emma (Baby) Bunton, Melanie (Sporty) Chisholm and Melanie (Scary) Brown -- on stage if there were plans for a 2016 world tour.
“[Victoria] has been very respectful about the fabulous time they had together in the past,” Beckham's rep tells the gossip site. “However, her focus is now very much her family and fashion business.”
It's not inconceivable that Mel B., Melanie C., Emma and Geri could tour without Victoria. And the year is still young -- there’s plenty of time for fans and her former bandmates to campaign for her return.
The Spice Girls released their debut single in 1996 and will celebrate the anniversary this year. They originally agreed on an indefinite hiatus in 1998 when Halliwell decided to leave the group to pursue a solo career.
The entire group reunited for the The Return Of The Spice Girls tour, which included a performance at the London 2012 Olympics.
