Season one of the new reality show, Real Housewives of Potomac debuted on Bravo this past Sunday night at 9 P.M. and clearly there are five stars on the small screen. Suburban Washington D.C. socialites dwelling in a wealthy enclave community, next to the Potomac River make for good television, at least that's what Bravo TV thinks!
The ladies seem to have a fixation with Gizelle Bryant, the ex-wife of Baltimore televangelist and activist, Jamal Harris. Gizelle has a spat with both Karen Huger, the wife of black Bill Gates and college basketball coach's wife, Charrisse Jackson Jordan. Charrisse hosted a birthday dinner for diva Karen. When the birthday girl arrived fashionably late, four of the six ladies had already ordered drinks and appetizers. And to add insult to injury, Green-eyed Gizelle was seated in the center of the semi-circular booth and didn't budge for the guest of honor and etiquette pro, Mrs. Huger.
During the birthday dinner, Jackson invited the group of girls to her home for a crab broil. Of course, Miss Gizelle was the one to assist her friend with boiling the crabs but she failed to realize that Charrisse was not enthusiastic about having a third party present, who was Bryant's hairstylist. Though the basketball coach's wife was getting beautified, the dynamic duo was downstairs being loud. The lady of the house was not impressed and made mention that this is why she doesn't go to the ghetto. Was she implying that the preachers wife was ghetto?
Pastor Bryant and his ex have been divorced for some time but according to the Daily Mail, when they were married they lived in the city of Baltimore however, now that the First Lady and the Preacher co-parent their three daughters and live in Bethesda, just outside of Potomac. But don't get it confused, Mrs. Bryant is Potomac since she is the daughter of Texan legislator Curtis Graves and a NASA official while Mrs. Huger is from a farm.
Robyn Dixon, the ex-wife of NBA player Juan Dixon is still sharing her bed with Juan and the two are raising their sons together. And US Weekly says, "Katie Rost is giving in to her craving for 'white' and 'Jewish' boys."
There was a lot of drama in just one episode, so we're willing to bet that the rest of the season should be very interesting!
