Joey Feek, of the husband and wife country duo Joey and Rory, teared up while she said goodbye to her best friend Julie Zamboldi. Rory Feek posted the heartbreaking photo on his blog about their possible last meeting.

Feek wrote a touching blog post on This Life I Live on Saturday, January 16 about his terminally ill wife and her best friend that he called "St. Jules."

Zamboldi stayed at the 40-year-old country singer's side for a week, so when she packed up to leave, Feek feared that it could be the last time that she would see her best friend.

“Joey’s best friend Julie has been here for a week and was supposed to leave this evening and fly back home to Oregon where she and her husband Joe live,” Feek shared.

He then went on to say that when Zamboldi packed her things up, his wife was "inconsolable" saying, “I don’t think I will ever see her again.”

The gut wrenching photo showed Feek and Zamboldi hugging each other goodbye.

Feek opened-up about her cervical cancer back in June of 2014, she revealed that she will not be getting any treatment for the life-threatening disease anymore, and she was transferred to a hospice facility instead.

Rory Feek updated their fans on his blog at that time that his wife was rushed to the hospital on November 6, 2015 because the pain "had become too much to bare."

A prayer vigil was also held by her family and friends,  sending her their love, before she had to enter hospice care.
