In the fall of 2014, one clip from Hannibal Buress' stand-up routine, where he called out the many rape allegations against Bill Cosby, went viral and prompted a new wave of scandal revolving around the legendary comedian. Now that the Cosby Show star has been formally charged with sexual assault and Buress' career has skyrocketed, the comedian admits he doesn't make Cosby jokes anymore.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comedian was at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour to talk about his upcoming Netflix comedy special, where he was asked about the Cosby joke that kick-started the comedian's rise to fame. It's obviously an uncomfortable subject for Buress, as he seemed on the defensive, assuring everyone that he does "lots of other sh*t," but that was the one joke that people got stuck with.

When he was asked whether people would hear any Cosby jokes in his current routine, Buress said "probably not."

"You would probably hear a joke about being able to Google people's property values with ease," Buress told the press, also joking that it was "weird" how Cosby was the one that got hate when he accused other comedians of rape.

As Entertainment Weekly reports, the panel got generally awkward in the time Buress' Cosby joke was discussed, though his pals John Mulaney and Patton Oswalt came at his defense, saying that Buress had done a lot of other work before Cosby and his comedy hardly depended on that line of comedy.

Whether or not he's comfortable with this line of thinking, the fact is that after Buress' joke became viral, millions of people all over the world became aware of the multiple allegations against Cosby and dozens of women decided to step forward to tell their story. Since last December, the 78-year-old comedian has been facing three felony charges of aggravated indecent assault.
