Have you ever wondered how easy it is to get a gun? Well, if you ask comedians Steve Hofstetter, Brent Mukai and Collin Moulton, it's apparently easier than buying a house and a car if you're in Nevada. The trio recently drove on over to Las Vegas and picked up a firearm—one of them without ID—in under five minutes.
After arriving at a Vegas gun show, which was aptly going on right across the street from City Hall, one comedian found a firearm he "liked" and therefore tried to buy it. Sadly, he wasn't a Nevada resident so it was a little harder than he assumed. Luckily, a friend of his apparently was; he then purchased the gun in under five minutes...with his friend's money and an open conversation as to who the gun would actually be for upon purchase.
All the while, talk of his friend's questionable character—"All that stuff you did in the 60s," they joke—was being had through the background process, which didn't seem to deter the ones administering the check.
Upon passing, one says, "Surprised the heck out of me."
To prove just how startlingly easy it was to buy a gun, the trio then attempted to buy a house, rent a car and go on a fishing expedition. All of which took way longer than it took to purchase a gun in the state of Nevada.
And while restaurants are cool with openly carrying your gun to dinner, bringing a dog inside is against the law.
The comedians end their video with: "I support the second amendment, and I believe every responsible citizen should be able to own a gun if they choose to. But I also believe that buying one shouldn't be as easy as it was today."
They add that houses, apartments and cars are all heavily regulated. "It just makes sense that guns would be too."
So, thoughts?
