Following the massive box office success of Fifty Shades of Grey, fans of the story between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele can't wait for more, but the production for the sequel had encountered problems. Now, once again, Fifty Shades Darker is delayed, and fans are blaming Jamie Dornan's wife, Amelia Warner, for this new mishap.
According to Master Herald, production for the sequel has been pushed back at least a couple of weeks. They were supposed to start filming in the beginning of February, but it has been moved to at least the fifteenth, and it appears like it might have everything to do with Dorner's personal life. He and his wife are expecting a new baby soon. Although Dornan's due date is unknown, if she's very far along, it could mean further issues for the start of the shoot.
However, that might not be the only setback.
Currently, only days away from the supposed start of production, some of the film's major roles have yet to be cast, including Jack Hyde, Leila Williams and Mrs. Robinson.
A few stars are reportedly circling the sequel, though nobody's been officially announced yet. For now, names that have been throw around include Oscar winner Charlize Theron, Gilmore Girls actress Alexis Bledel, current Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder (who was once a leading contender for the role of Christian Grey), supermodel turned actress Cara Delevingne and Divergent actor Theo James.
As The Inquisitr reports, both Dornan and Dakota Johnson are set to reprise their roles in the adaptation of E.L. James' erotic book series. There have been numerous delays in production of the sequel, including losing the director. After the release of the first film, director Sam Taylor-Johnson announced she'd be stepping down from the franchise over creative differences, prompting the first delay even though the studio quickly hired James Foley to helm the last two films.
