Jon Hamm, best known for playing advertising genius and self-destructive human Don Draper in AMC's Mad Men, won an Emmy and two Golden Globes for his performance in the '60s period show. Now, nearly a decade after his first Globe win, the actor reveals that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association spelled his name wrong on the plaque. the award went to John Hamm in a fairly unfortunate typo!

As the actor's IMDB page could show anyone who takes the time to check, Hamm's first name is spelled without an "H," just like former Daily Show host Jon Stewart. However, it seems the Hollywood Foreign Press Association failed to do their job in 2008, when they gave him the Globe for his performance.

Speaking to Vanity Fair during this year's Sundance Film Festival, Hamm joked around with the magazine's west coast editor, Krista Smith, and made a hilarious revelation: his first Globe is spelled wrong.

"Guys, there's no H," Hamm said, charming as ever, then going on to say he still hadn't received a plaque for the one he received in early January. "Hopefully if you're watching, it's 'J-O-N.' or 'Jonathan,'" he added, directing his new comments to the Foreign Press Association.

Award winners are handed their blank statuettes live on television, and a while later they receive a little plaque with their names.

According to Variety, the actor is currently attending the famous independent film festival as a juror, and he's taking it in good humor. In the same clip where he asks the Golden Globe people to get his name right this time around, he also jokes that the festival should also have jurors for "best scarf and best hat" in these cold months, adding that Mumford and Sons could be perfect for this kind of jury duty.

Mad Men ended its seven-season run last year, and Hamm has packed up on awards for his performance in the past months. He also received his first and only Emmy so far last September.
