MStars News has learned that Georgia police want to question Future about the death of his former bodyguard, Michael Tanner Phillips.
According to TMZ, Clayton County police hopes that the rapper could help them solve the murder of Phillips who was killed earlier this week inside of his Georgia home.
MStars News previously reported that Phillips, 27, was gunned down at his home in Jonesboro, Georgia, after an argument allegedly broke out. Neighbors told police that they heard arguing and then gunshots.
Phillips, who is a newlywed, was at killed on Monday afternoon while his 9-month-pregnant wife was inside of the home. The couple are expecting a baby boy some time soon.
As of Tuesday, police claimed they still didn't have any suspects in custody yet, but they do have a some leads. Police believe that Future and other friends can help the search for the gunman go faster.
The shooting isn't being classified as a gang-related murder, and Phillips wasn't killed in a high crime area.
In another updated report, TMZ revealed that Future is refusing to speak with the police. The site claimed the rapper is saying that he has no information to tell them about his former bodyguard's death.
The reason Future probably wouldn't be any help to police is because he hasn't worked with the young father-to-be since 2012.
In the interview below, "Big Mike's" mother, Pastor Tania Johnson, said that she forgives whoever killed her son. She also said that whoever killed her son has to be "heartless."
Pastor Johnson said, as she tried to hold back tears, "To do that, it took a heartless person to take the life of such a caring, generous young man." She continued, "I just won't justice."
If you know anything about this tragic shooting please contact the Clayton County police. Hopefully the police can solve this tragic case soon and find justice for Phillips' family.
