Soon-to-be Glee star and American Idol season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez dropped by the Yahoo! Music headquarters for a very special unplugged performance of her debut single "Tonight" off of her new album, Me, You & The Music. The acoustic set allowed the 17-year-old to display her unique singing talents. Check out the video below:
"Tonight" is the first single off of Sanchez's upcoming album, Me, You & The Music. The album from the AI alum is set to drop on April 30 release after a frenetic couple of months for the young singer. Sanchez has already begun shooting for her upcoming role on Glee. Sanchez is set to star in two episodes including the May 9 season finale.
"I'm playing a student from a rival school who is supposed to be a legendary diva - a powerhouse singer," Sanchez told People in a recent interview.
"It's going to be a very busy month for me," Jessica told the magazine. "I'm very excited because I've never acted before. I really want to meet [Naya Rivera]. She's got that attitude and I love it," she said.
Sanchez has already performed "Tonight" with guest star Ne-Yo on American Idol's top nine results show.
Jessica Sanchez took the opportunity to impress the judges who weren't around to see her Season 11 run.
"I had to prove myself to them," she said.
While at Yahoo!, the artist also sat down for an interview and talked about her album, dancing and acting lesons, her fame in the Phillipines, her role on Glee and other topics. Watch that below:
Tha album promises to be upbeat as Jessica claims she made an album that made her want to "dance [her] booty off."
