Back by popular demand, Fox recently aired the first two episodes of the revival of The X-Files. This is the prefect opportunity to check out the Easter Eggs that agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) found in episodes 1 and 2.

As we previously mentioned,14 years have passed since FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were on the TV screen solving weird and supernatural cases. The reboot of Fox's popular sci-fi series continues with an all-new 6 episode arc. Not only are the two leads back to reprise their iconic roles, creator Chris Carter will takeover as showrunner once again for the franchise that launched his and many other careers.

Check out our 5 reasons why we really want to seeThe X-Files revival:

5) It's That Actor Again!

In the revival premiere, My Struggle, Hiro Kanagawa played Garner, the scientist who presents Mulder with the man-made alien ship replica. The same casting director must have been hired back because the Lost actor played Peter Tanaka in the sophomore season's Firewalker. The Elektra actor showed up in the fourth season as cryobiologist Dr. Yonechi in Synchrony. You can find these episodes in your DVD, Blu-Ray set, and Netflix.

4) Stephen King Haunts Mulder's Office

Remember when Carrie author Stephen King wrote the fan fiction episode about the killer doll in Chinga? While Scully was supposed to be on vacation, Mulder was being a goofball in his office, throwing pencils in the ceiling. In My Struggle, it turns out those pencils Mulder threw are still in the ceiling.

3) We Have The Same Last Name!

In Founder's Mutation, Kyle Gilligan turned out to be the banshee scream torturing Mulder's name. Kyle Gilligan is named after Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan. Before he was thinking about Better Call Saul, Vince Gilligan was writer on The X-Files who came up with X-Cops  and Pusher. Obviously, John Doggett (Robert Patrick) was the inspiration behind Hank Schrader (Dean Norris).

2) Samantha!

In the tear-jerking finale of Founder's Mutation, Mulder dreams about what life would be like he was a father and raised William. Haunted by his past, Mulder cannot let go of the horrible memory of watching his sister, Samantha, being taken away by aliens. Writer/director James Wong (Final Destination) recreated Samantha's abduction shot-for-shot as Mulder helplessly watching his son being taken away.

1) Don't Give Up!

Harkening back to the second feature film, I Want To Believe, Father Joseph Crissman (Billy Connolly) grabbed Scully, told her not to give up, before his seizure took over. In Part 1 of My Struggle, Scully discovers those same words on the window of her car.

The X-Files continues for 4 more episodes Mondays 8pm on Fox.
