'The Flash' S02E12 'Fast Lane' Grant Gustin, Danielle Panabaker, Candice Patton Recap!

The CW network continues Season 2 of The Flash. In Episode 11, will Iris West (Candice Patton), Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), the scarlet speedster, survive in The Fast Lane?

After a gang drops a young man into a tar pit, the particle accelerator explosion occurs. The young man from the tar pit rises from the wreckage as a metahuman. During dinner, Iris (Candice Patton) argues with her brother Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) about his drag racing. 

Barry bumps into Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), who is working on something secret. While Iris visits Wally's races, Joey, The Tar Pit, visits one of the gang members who killed him. Tar Pit uses his powers to burn him alive. 

At the crime scene, Barry wants to analyze the evidence of the tar. While Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Barry are looking over their new app, Harrison slides his device into Barry's costume. Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) visits Iris at work and argues with her about Wally's racing. He doesn't want to lose his son.

Harrison gets into an argument with Barry; he doesn't want to be his mentor. His anger pushes Barry out of the room. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco realize their metahuman has showed himself again. Harrison sets up his device as The Flash goes after Tar Pit. 

After slowing down Tar Pit, the Flash is able to save the gang leader from being killed. Thanks to his device, Harrison has stolen the Flash's speed power and can now get his kidnapped daughter from Zoom. 

Now that the team has Tar Pit's real name, Cisco noticed the scarlet speedster was running slower than usual. Iris wants the crooked manager to stop his races or else, she goes to the cops. The manager threatens Iris because he doesn't believe her bluff.

Wally confronts Iris about the death threats she faced. Iris believes Wally is a good kid and cares about him. Wally warns Iris that if she shows up at the races; he won't be able to protect her. Barry has a discussion with Harrison, who foreshadows his betrayal. Harrison will chose being a father and his daughter over Barry. 

Harrison has a secret meeting with Zoom and gives him Barry's speed. Zoom now wants the rest of the Flash's speed. Looking over Tar Pit's history, Iris recognizes the face of his enemy. Barry and Harriso have made a device that can close up the wormhole to Earth-2. 

During the drag race, Tar Pit shows up, swallowing up Wally's car. The Flash arrives in the nick of time to save Wally. The Flash is too slow to save Iris from getting hit from a flying shrapnel. Iris wakes up in the hospital and sees Wally with flowers. Joe reminds Wally there are people who care about him. 

Caitlin realizes Barry has lost 2% of his speed. Harry reveals he is the traitor and stole his speed. Joe punches out Harrison and throws him into a cell. The Flash is able to put a stop to Tar Pt with his nitrous grenade. 

In the cell, Harrison wants to be sent back to Earth-2. They can shut off the portals there. Barry and the rest of the group are going to Earth-2 with him.
