Although Warner Bros. has never confirmed the rumors, there have been several speculations that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will feature Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry/Aquaman as well as Ezra Miller's Barry Allen/The Flash. Now director Zack Snyder has confirmed that the DC characters will appear in the film, although their cameos will be very small!
Snyder shared the news on the Hall of Justice podcast (via ComicBook.com), stating that the members of the Justice League will have minor appearances.
"As far as the other Justice League characters go, they play a very small role," Snyder admitted. "It's really just a whisper they exist. Except for Wonder Woman, we see her really well."
The director pointed out that there is a good reason why Aquaman and The Flash will only have tiny cameos in the film: The movie is called Batman v Superman.
"The movie is about Batman and Superman and we really take time with them and we really drill down on the why of them and what they stand for and their beliefs and them as characters. That's pretty much the why of the movie," Snyder explained before adding that Momoa and Miller's appearance will just be enough to spark interest in the Justice League.
"As I said, it does begin the conversation about these guys are out there," he said.
Snyder's comments could actually confirm old rumors about the scenes that will feature Aquaman and The Flash in Batman v Superman. There are speculations that Ben Affleck's Caped Crusader will find the superheroes in surveillance footages when he hacks into Lexcorp computers. The Flash will appear as a quick gust of wind in a convenience store while Aquaman will be seen in a containment chamber, where his hand slaps the glass.
Catch Momoa and Miller's tiny cameos when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice premieres on March 25.
