The Carolina Panthers may have lost the SuperBowl Sunday night, but Cam Newton's mother has some encouraging words for her son who won the 2015 NFL MVP award. In a message seen below, Newton shared a text message letter his mother, Jackie wrote, and the words will probably make you want a tissue.
She wanted to remind her son to always speak positively in every dark situation, and to keep God first. His mother wrote, "I want you to understand that hot and cold water comes out of different fountains. You are either hot or cold. You have a big platform. Which fountain are you."
She continued to encourage her son to stay focused, saying, "Don't let the devil win over your words or speech that represent [sic] the dark world. But represent the awesome God you serve thru your words. Don't confuse the devil and the enemy of what side you are on: so speak boldy to the nations that you represent Christ for the great things he has done."
Newton's mother said that her son's actions would speak for who he represents.

Hopefully Newton remembers those words of advice from his mother when he thinks about the loss he and the Carolina Panthers took Sunday night. The Denver Broncos won SuperBowl 50, 24 to 10.
After losing, Newton really didn't have much to say to the media. Upset, the star quarterback walked off the stage after answering a few questions with short answers when the media apparently kept hounding him to say something specific and he couldn't guess what they were wanting. He claimed that the Panthers would be back, and felt like they were "outplayed." Newton said that the Broncos, "played better," than the Panthers before he walked off the stage.
"I don’t know what you want me to say, I’m sorry." - A dejected Cam Newton walks off the podium abruptly. #SB50 https://t.co/xw4iLd1CQz — NFL (@NFL) February 8, 2016
