The late reggae singer, Bob Marley, could be one of the most marketable man in history. His heirs have figured out a way to continue his legacy and on what would have been his 71st birthday, his family launched a marijuana based hemp-seed skin care line in his honor.
On Feb. 6, Bob Marley Natural launched in Los Angeles, California when hemp is legal. The Marley Estate, who is responsible for the brand, plans to expand throughout other cities in California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado and Nevado later this year. It's not clear whether or not the Bob Marley Natural products will be sold in states like New Jersey, where medicinal marijuana is sold under strict guidelines.

The bottles are packaged in green, yellow and red, distinctive to the singer's Rastafarian roots, for the essential products of body washes that doubles as a shampoos, lotions and soaps. According to Vogue, "The derivative of Marley's beloved cannabis has intensive hydrating qualities that will change the texture of your skin." The line is composed of Jamaica's botanical oils such as lemongrass, tumeric, coconut oil, cerasse and of course, hemp.
The line was funded by Privateer Holdings of Seattle and Business Wire says the products were "designed with deep respect for Bob Marley's legacy and belief in the positive potential of the herb to heal and inspire us." The late Rastafarian's daughter, Cedella Marley, states, "We are fortunate to be living during a promising time of positive change, especially with regard to cannabis and how people understand it. My dad would be so happy to see so many people appreciating the natural, healing power of the herb. We are thrilled to be sharing Marley Natural products with the world just in time for his 71st birthday."
