'The Walking Dead' S06E09 'No Way Out' Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus Premiere Recap!

AMC airs the midseason premiere of Season 6 of The Walking Dead. In episode 9, will Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) realize there is No Way Out of Alexandria when the walkers come out?

Negan's gang has taken hostage of the tanker truck and removed Daryl's weapons. Just when Negan's gang is about to fire bullets into Sasha and Abraham, Daryl kills them all as he shoots his rocket launcher.  

As Rick and his team walk straight into the herd, he realizes they need to separate. Father Gabriel knows he has to take care of Judith and take her to his church. Elsewhere, Glenn and the girl make it to a nearby cathedral, and search for things to save Maggie. Knowing Denise is in trouble, Carol blames Morgan for thinking  of himself, and not the others.  

Sam is the first die as the walkers start munching on him. Rick is too late to stop the walkers from chowing down on Jessie. Because Jessie is holding onto Carl's hand, Rick has to chop her hand off. Just as he is about to kill Rick, Michonne drives her sword through Ron's chest. Unfortunately, Ron squeezes a shot and hits Carl's eye. 

The Wolf and Denise make a run for it but she gets caught by a walker. Just when he has a chance to escape, the Wolf goes back to save Denise but gets bitten. After Denise promises to save the Wolf's life, Carol starts shooting at him. With his last breath of life, the Wolf sacrifices himself to allow Denise to get back to the infirmary, where Aaron and the others are. 

With Maggie in trouble, Glenn starts shooting and gets the walkers to chase after him. Just when it looks like Glenn is a goner, Sasha and Abraham open fire. With the walkers down, Abraham asks Glen to open the gate. As Rick ends up in Denise's infirmary, she starts working on saving Carl. 

Letting loose some steam, Rick starts hacking away as he runs straight into herd. While Denise works on Carl's gunshot wound, Michonne joins in on the hack and slash. Father Gabriel tells his club that God has sent them a message, they have been given courage to fight back and save their community. Morgan knocks out the Wolf, who has been infected, and finally kills him. 

Daryl and Glen drive the tanker truck towards the reservoir, release the gasoline into the water. As Daryl uses the rocket launcher again, the fire spreads and catches the attention of the herd. As the walkers head straight into the lake of fire, Rick and his rest of Alexandria continue the onslaught. 

In the morning, the streets of Alexandria are littered with dead walkers. As Carl sits on his hospital bed, Rick explains why he was wrong about the people of Alexandria; they are ready. He wants to show his son a new world.

As a sign of hope, Carl squeezes his father's hand.
