It's been over two months since the last time we saw Phil Coulson's (Clark Gregg) team in the midseason finale of Agents of SHIELD, and as the premiere date for the second half of season 3 approaches, there are questions that still remain unclear. What's going to happen to the team as they face a new foe, an Inhuman powerful enough to destroy a planet?
Entertainment Weekly recently revealed some scoop regarding the show, and it turns out the rest of season 3 will be as action-packed as the past few episodes were!
"In the aftermath of his trip to Maveth, Coulson is more determined than ever to get to Gideon Malick and put an end to Hydra once and for all," reads the synopsis for the next episode, "Bouncing Back," airing in early March. "Daisy and the team encounter more Inhumans who have powers like they've never seen before, but will they be friends or enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
Express recently spoke to Daz Crawford, who played the Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) henchman Kebo on the show until early season 3, who teased that his character might not be dead, despite the fact that Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki) electrocuted him in a pool the last time we saw him.
According to Master Herald, there's also an interesting new Inhuman lined up for the rest of the season: a type super-fast lady called Slingshot, played by Natalia Cordova-Buckley.
The character, whose real name is Yo-Yo Rodriguez, is being billed as a sort of female Flash, and she's joining Daisy (Chloe Bennet) and her growing taskforce of superpowered beings, the Secret Warriors ... and it seems she will be a very important part of the rest of the team!
ABC is currently airing another Marvel Cinematic Universe show, Agent Carter, on the timeslot usually occupied by SHIELD. While the prequel gets increasingly interesting with each passing episode, fans of Coulson's team have been aching for more for more than two months. The wait is nearly over: the show will come back on March 8!
