'Gotham' Season 2 Spoilers: Twitter Reacts Robin Lord Taylor, BD Wong's Penguin/Hugo Strange!

Season 2 of the Batman prequel series, Gotham, aired its midseason premiere on Fox. Twitter had lots to say as Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) met Dr. Hugo Strange (BD Wong) and Mister Freeze (Nathan Darrow)!

In our previous recap, it was a massive shootout between the Order of St. Dumas and a room full of police officers. With Bruce back with Alfred, Jim and Penguin took Theo (James Frain) to the docks. After Penguin beat Theo senseless, Jim took out his gun and pulled the trigger. To get revenge for his mother, Penguin drove an umbrella through Theo's mouth. As Gordon settled in with his pregnant Leslie Tompkins (Morena Baccarin), Mister Freeze suddenly showed up to stir trouble.

In our recent recap, with Theo Galavan missing, Penguin refuses to squeal on Jim and finds himself sent to Arkham, meeting Dr. Hugo Strange. Elsewhere, Victor Fries (Darrow) finds himself racing to clock, working on his experiments, to save his dying wife. Now that he stumbled upon a cure, Victor has to somehow free his wife, who has been taken into custody by Jim and Bullock. Wanting the cure for himself, Hugo Strange is very eager to meet the man the newspapers have named Mister Freeze.

In an interview with TV Line, Taylor reveals what's up ahead, "[Strange] is so brilliant that he sees right through [Penguin's insanity plea] and goes into this mode where he will strip Penguin of everything that he is. [Being rendered inert] is one of the biggest challenges Penguin has ever faced."
