It's been over a year since Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only daughter Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown had during their marriage, was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Georgia home, in a disturbing manner that bore too many resemblances to her mother's death. Now, after a judge ordered her autopsy to be unsealed, further details of her death surface -- including bruises and under-nourishment.
According to People Magazine, the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office revealed the report of Brown's autopsy last Friday, as the case regarding her death is still ongoing. At last, after more than a year of mystery, this reveals a little further about the death of the young heiress, including the poor state she was in at the time of her death.
At the time of her autopsy, Brown, who would have celebrated her 23rd birthday on March 4, presented depressions in her skull and bruises on her arms and thighs that were somewhat recent. She also had older scars on her "head and neck, torso, and extremities."
While her cause of death was filed as "undetermined" as it was a combination of drowning and intoxication, Brown did suffer from malnutrition at the time, as she weighed only 95 pounds. Within her system, there were traces of different substances such as alcohol, marijuana and a "cocaine-related" one, plus different medications.
It's unclear at this point whether there was a history of heroin use as well.
Soon after the report of Brown's autopsy was released, ABC reported that the young star's father canceled a scheduled performance, saying he was recovering from surgery.
"I recently had surgery and the recovery time has taken longer than expected," the rapper tweeted, announcing he wouldn't be attending his scheduled performance at the Charleston Jam Fest in South Carolina. "My Gastroenterologist has made the decision to keep me resting for another week."
