'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Spoilers: Twitter Reacts Melissa McBride's Carol Twist!

AMC continues with the mid-Season 6 of The Walking Dead. Twitter had lots to say as Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) found themselves in a shocking twist against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his crew.

In our previous recap, Jesus reveled he is a scout from the Hilltop community, run by Gregory (Xander Berkley). After Negan ordered the death of Gregory, Rick and the team were able to stop the assassination after he was being stabbed. Stepping up, Maggie worked out a deal for half of everything Hilltop made, including food, and in return, Negan would be put to a stop. Though Rick and Michonne need a win, Maggie realizes there will be a price to pay as she shares the sonogram of her baby.

In our recent recap, Carol has been romancing her new neighbor, Tobin, even sharing a kiss with him. But the fight came first as Rick and the others went off to ambush Negan's satellite watchtower. During the raid, as the alarms sounded off, Carol tried to keep Maggie from entering from compound. Unfortunately, because they let their guard down, Negan's army now has them as their prisoners.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Executive producer Greg Nicotero Carol's mindset, ""You're supposed to be someone else," that's a very intense Freudian slip. Carol is looking at Maggie like, "You have a baby coming; you're supposed to be a mom and representing life moving forward; you're not supposed to be out here. What's a matter with you?!" Carol is having a hard time that Maggie is there because Maggie is supposed to be back at Alexandria and Carol is there because she's supposed to be Rick's soldier. This is a different side of Carol than we've seen in a long time."
