'Gotham' S02E13: 'A Dead Man Feels No Cold' Robin Lord Taylor, Ben McKenzie Premiere Recap!

Fox continues Season 2 of the Batman prequel series, Gotham, with Wrath of the Villains. In episode 13, A Dead Man Feels No Cold, can Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) handle Dr. Hugo Strange (BD Wong) and Mister Freeze (Nathan Darrow)?

During a high speed chase to Ace Chemicals, Gordon and Bullock (Donal Logue) lead a team of officers inside. While passing the frozen dead bodies, the detectives find missing canisters. The dead body has the message on it: FREE MY WIFE.

Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) meets with Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarin) over his abduction.  Bruce felt intensely alive when he was kidnapped by Theo. And now he is driven to find the man who killed his parents. Leslie though knows he's hiding something darker. 

Captain Nathaniel Barnes (Michael Chiklis) knows he has to trade Freeze's wife for the janitor taken hostage. Barnes wants to use Freeze's wife as bait and keep her at Arkham. Because Nora is her patient, Leslie wants to stay by her side.

Strange (BD Wong) hears the news that Freeze's wife is coming to him. Hearing the news on the radio, Freeze realize the whole thing is a trap. He throws in his special grenade, which freezes the entire Gotham reservoir. 

Penguin is strapped into his chair, wrapped in chains, before being electrocuted. When Penguin wakes up, he thinks it was a dream. He laughs while pretending to be "the goose." Gordon notices Penguin looks like he has been drugged. 

Nora will be placed next to Barbara (Erin Richards). Penguin reveals to Gordon that he is being tortured. He lied for him; Jim owes him. Hugo Strange has been overhearing the conversation the entire time. 

Wanting to know whose side Bruce is on, Alfred (Sean Pertwee) shows him the file on Matches Malone. Alfred refuses to let Bruce kill Malone and have it on his conscience. In their deal, Bruce gets his justice but Alfred is the one who kills him. 

Nora tells Leslie that her husband is not an evil man; she could have saved him from the darker path. During he stakeout, Gordon gets the signal when a van comes crashing in. The janitor has his hands frozen to the wheel. As the alarms sound off, Freeze arrives in his containment suit. Strange laughs as he separates Gordon and Bullock, while locking and unlocking the doors. 

Strange offers Freeze a chance to escape with his wife; in return, a cartridge of his formula. After disarming Gordon, Freeze promises he won't hurt Leslie as long as she keeps Nora alive. After escaping fro his locked door, Gordon is too late to stop Freeze from escaping.

Back home, Nora asks Freeze to let her go. He promises to be there when she wakes up; there's always hope. Nora switches the cartridge, thanks Leslie, and kisses her husband one last time. After freezing his wife, the police arrive.

Bruce asks Selina (Camren Bicondova) for a favor; get him a gun. Knowing that the formula failed, Victor asks Leslie to leave before he freezes himself. Leslie argues with Gordon over his lies about Galavan's death.

Strange is keeping Freeze alive in Indian Hill. Elsewhere, Galavan is locked in his own tube.
