CW's Legends Of Tomorrow S01E08 Night of the Hawk Caity Lotz, Wentworth Miller Premiere Recap

The CW Network continues with the premiere of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. In episode 8, Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) join White Canary (Caity Lotz) as they take the fight to Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) in Night of the Hawk.

During a drag race, one of the speeding cars crashes into a meteorite. Savage shows up and claims the meteorite as his. The Waverider shows up in Oregon in the '50s catching Vandal in the midst of his killing spree. Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) believe there is a clue to find vandal in the murders.

As The Atom (Brandon Routh) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) pretend to be husband and wife, White Canary pretends to be Martin Stein (Victor Garber)'s nurse. Captain Cold pretends to be FBI to grab the crime files. Firestorm (Franz Drameh) flirts with an unhappy cheerleader, Betty, while dealing with racism. Firestorm holds his hold as he stands up to two jocks and scores a date with Betty. 

As Ray and Kendra dance, Martin investigates the patients as Canary defends a nurse from sexual harassment. Canary gets a tour of a hospital, discovering Dr. Curtis Knox is actually  Vandal. Later on, Vandal shows up as Hawkgirl's home with his wife. During the night, another murder takes place.

Hawkgirl realizes Savage doesn't recognize her. Firestorm is worried what Captain Cold will do now that he iced his best friend. While Atom and Hawkgirl split at Vandal's welcoming party, Canary hints that the nurse is a lesbian. At the hospital, the alarms sound off at Hall H, forcing Vandal to leave his party. 

In Hall H, Savage has been experimenting on the missing teens, turning them into monstrous creatures. As Atom breaks into Savage's safe room and escapes before Vandal enters his home. As Canary scores a kiss from the nurse, Firestorm makes out with Betty. As Betty recounts the story, a fight ensues as Betty's neck is slashed by Tommy, her boyfriend turned monster hawk.

While Betty's neck is bleeding, Firestorm drives the car away. All of sudden, Firestorm is pulled over and knocked out by the Sheriff. Cold and Hunter arrive in the nick of time to save Betty. Now that Hunter has the dagger, Hawkgirl wants to use herself as bait to stop Savage. Canary admits to Martin she became terrified after the kiss.

In the torture chamber, Firestorm is injected with a glowing substance from the meteorite. Ray is anxious and nervous as Hawkgirl is alone in the room with Savage. As Savage and Kendra kiss, he shoves his dagger against her throat. As Captain Cold fights Savage's test subjects, Kendra fights back. 

As the best subjects attacks the hospital, Canary arrives in the nick of time to save the nurse. Atom arrives, fires, and shoots Savage out of a window. After Canary knocks out a mutated Firestorm, Martin injects him with the cure. 

Canary has one last talk with the nurse and kisses her back. Firestorm brings a cured Tommy back to Betty. With the ship under attack by Kronos, the Waverider leaves behind Canary, Atom, and Hawkgirl stranded in the middle of nowhere.
