The Flash S02E16 'Trajectory' Grant Gustin, Danielle Panabaker, Candice Patton Premiere Recap

The CW network continues with the mid-Season 2 premiere of The Flash. In Episode 16, will Iris West (Candice Patton), Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), the scarlet speedster, discover how to fight Trajectory?

Near a waterfall, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) want Barry to run at a certain speed. Caitlin though is worried he might die from the cliff. After making the jump, Barry is about to fall midway and is caught by Cisco's drones. Failing the canyon jump, Barry wants to continue but the team needs a break.

Wells doesn't want his daughter hanging out with the others. He hands her a wristwatch to protect her. At a nightclub, iris and Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) join the festivities. Jesse ends up firing with Wally as Cisco and Caitlin hit the dance floor. Jesse discovers the watch has the recordings her father made. 

Iris and Barry are talking about their marriage over in Earth-2. The club is suddenly robbed by a female speedster, who happens to be faster than the Flash. As Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) investigates the robbery, the press has evidence that the Flash is the culprit. Iris is ordered by her boss to write a piece that The Flash is a public menace. 

Jesse then confronts her father about his recordings. Wells admits he betrayed the others to save her. Caitlin shows Barry and Cisco her speed drug, Velocity 9. After touching Caitlin, Cisco vibes somewhere else and finds himself in a dark room with Zoom. 

In their second encounter, the Flash ends up getting his butt handed to him by the female speedster. Realizing it's her fault, Caitlin realizes she called a former colleague, Eliza Harmon, to make V-9. As Caitlin and Joe interrogate Eliza at Mercury Labs, Iris ends up on a coffee date with her editor.

At Mercury Labs, Eliza finds herself arguing her split personality and injects herself with the speed drug. Wells and Barry debate about whether or not he should use the drug. If Barry takes the shortcut, he loses. Barry has no choice but to destroy the serum. 

The speedster then puts the Flash in one of the prison cells.As Trajectory holds the others hostage, Cisco gets another vision of Zoom. Wells promises to make V-9 after Trajectory points a gun at Jesse.

Trajectory then injects Jesse with the pure serum. Wells gives up his own blood to save his daughter. The Flash now has to stop Trajectory before she causes the bridge to collapse. The Flash saves the people first before the bridge collapses. The Flash then hits Mach 3.3 and crashes into Trajectory.

After injecting herself one last time, Trajectory disintegrates as she runs into oblivion. iris admits she wants something more with her editor. Jesse leaves a recording for her father as she takes a trip around Earth-One. 

Barry wonders if V-9 turns the lighting blue, it means Zoom is dying. The teams wonders if Jay Garrick is actually Zoom. Cisco touches the helmet and sees Zoom unmask himself; it's Jay Garrick. Taking the news the worst, Barry makes a run for it and screams.
