'House of Cards' Season 5 Spoilers: Will Doug Stamper Die For Frank Underwood On Netflix?

The first week of March saw Netflix releasing all the 13 episodes of House of Cards season 4 and the fans of the American political thriller series saw a lot of twists and turns as well losing one of the most beloved characters from the series. Now, it looks like, after losing Zoe Barnes (played by Kate Mara) and Peter Russo (played by Corey Stoll), Doug Stamper (played by Michael Kelly) will die in order to save Frank Underwood (played by Kevin Spacey).

Major Spoilers Ahead:

In House of Cards Season 4, we saw how the personal dispute between President Frank Underwood and First Lady Claire (played by Robin Wright) jeopardized the presidential campaign. In the midst of all this, Frank found a dear friend in Edward Meechum (played by Nathan Darrow), but soon after spending quality time together, we saw how Meechum threw himself in front of the bullet in order to save his president.

In the later episodes, we saw Frank struggling to get a liver and it was his Chief of Staff, Stamper, who came forward and offered a part of his liver to save the life of Underwood. It was a gesture which cannot be described in mere words, but at the same time, it proved what Underwood meant to Stamper.

When in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, it was asked to Kelly about what would be his take on taking a bullet for Underwood, the 46-year-old star stated that Stamper could have died for Frank Underwood.

"Without a doubt. I think Stamper would like to think he would have taken the gunman down before he had a chance to fire the bullet. That's Stamper. He would do anything for him as was proven with Rachel and what he did with the donor."

When it was asked in the interview with THR, about being killed off, the actor wittingly stated that he is still alive and he is yet to see what happens in season 5. Now, if a character like Stamper, who can kill Rachel (played by Rachel Brosnahan), a girl whom he loved dearly and even offer a part of his liver, can he cross any limits to save Frank Underwood, even if it means to lose his own life?

An article from Movie News Guide, in fact, suggests that Stamper will kill LeAnn Harvey (played by Neve Campbell). Well, what will happen in the Season 5 will remain a mystery to fans for another year.
