Last week, Agents of SHIELD said farewell to two of its most interesting characters, Adrianne Palicki's Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird and Nick Blood's Lance Hunter, so they'd get wings of their own and fly away to their own spinoff, Most Wanted. Now, the ABC pilot has cast two more stars for its upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe show: Oded Fehr and Fernanda Andrade!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Covert Affairs actor and the Red Widow actress are joining Palicki and Blood in the spinoff pilot, which will follow the two former spies as they lead a life on the road with a bounty on their heads. Last week, Agents prepared the spinoff by having the two ex-husband-and-wife team renounce all ties to SHIELD to keep the organization a secret.
Deadline reports that Fehr's role is still unclear, but it'll be "a well-known character from the Marvel comics who will prove a force to be reckoned with." Andrade, on the other hand, will play Christina Santos, who will be teaming up with previously cast Delroy Lindo (in the role of Dominic Fortune), both of whom will be helping the former spies in their post-SHIELD life, though carrying their own agenda.
Now that Agents of SHIELD has committed itself to focusing on the supernatural with the Inhumans (prepping the ground for Marvel's 2019 film of the same name), it would appear that Most Wanted will bring back the spy aspects of the MCU, in charge of two super-charming leads.
If Most Wanted makes it to series, it'll be the third Marvel show on ABC after SHIELD and Agent Carter, the latter of which seems dangerously close to cancellation after its second season didn't make very high ratings. Two other MCU shows have aired on Netflix so far (Daredevil and Jessica Jones) and there are at least three more planned, the next of which, Luke Cage, will premiere on September.
