The CW Network has plans underway for the upcoming Season 5 of Arrow. In the current Season 4 of Arrow, will the mystery behind the grave death lead to Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum) becoming his superhero alter-ego Mr. Terrific?
In our previous recap, the breakup between Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) was devastating news to the Arrow team. As Cupid (Amy Gumenick) launched her attack on couples, Captain Lance (Paul Blackthorne) had to take the stand in court against Damien Dhark (Neal McDonough). Though Oliver and Felicity had worked together to bring down Cupid, it was not enough to mend their broken hearts.
In our recent recap, after seeing his boss in trouble, Curtis joined Oliver in helping rescuing Felicity from the Bug-Eyed Bandit (Emily Kinney). Even after being scolded by the Green Arrow, Curtis refused to back down and helped the team fight off their opponent. As Damien plans his escape from custody, Malcon (John Barrowman) sends a message out to Diggle's brother.
According to TV Line, big things are coming up for the Palmer Tech genius. The Ben and Kate actor has been promoted to series regular status. The update will become effective when Season 5 premieres in the fall. The status change could only mean that someone will be leaving the cast in tonight's 18th episode, Eleven-Fifty-Nine.
In an interview with the same site, executive producer Marc Guggenheim teases who will be killed off in Wednesday's episode, "We started off this year with the promise of a death. And when we worked our way through our various creative choices, we realized that the thing that will give us the most pop going into the end of the season, into next season, unfortunately would be..."
In an interview with The Wrap, Kellum explains how Holt will become Mr. Terrific, "In the comic books, the character was motivated to become Mr. Terrific through tragedy. I can't really say how Curtis becomes Mr. Terrific, but I think it will be some type of event that happens that pushes him to want to do more for the city and in general."
Season 4 of Arrow continues tonight, Wednesday at 8pm on the CW.
