'Gotham' Season 2 Spoilers: Twitter Reacts Robin Lord Taylor/Oswald Cobblepot Penguin Twist!

Season 2 of the Batman prequel series, Gotham, continues on Fox. Twitter had lots to say about the shocking twist between gangster Oswald Cobblepot aka The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and the wealthy socialite Grace Van Dahl (Melinda Clarke)!

In our previous recap, Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith)was enjoying himself, knowing Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) was paying for a crime he didn't commit. As Bullock (Donal Logue) hashed out a plan to help Gordon escape from prison, Penguin felt he finally belonged with his father Elijah (Paul Ruebens). Elijah's wife, Grace Van Dahl wasn't going to allow Penguin to steal her inheritance. Unfortunately, Elijah drank the poison that was meant for Penguin.

In our recent recap, Gordon discovered its Nygma who had set hit up. As Penguin discovered the vial of poison, he started to revert back to his homicidal self. At Kristen Kringle grave, Nygma unknowingly confessed to her murder and framing Gordon in a sting operation. Nygma enjoyed himself as he feed Grace her own children, before killing her. Freed from Arkham, Barbara (Erin Richards) showed up at Gordon's doorstep.

In an interview with Zap2it, Taylor describes the comeback scene, "After that moment, watching as Penguin comes back into himself, he's relearning who he is. I feel like he's even more bipolar in a way. He's more depraved than he's ever been, but whatever Strange did to him, I think there's still parts of that kindness in there weirdly.Moving forward, instead of going completely unhinged, I see him carrying some of this new character with him. Even though everyone treated him like shit, I think he actually enjoyed being kind to people and learned something."
