Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke, is not mincing words when it comes to Ian Ziering, her former Sharknado partner on the popular celebrity dance contest.
“My least favorite [DWTS partner] would be Ian Ziering. The fact that his name’s not EE-an, it’s EYE-an, makes me want to throw up,” Cheryl told Matt Weiss and Theo Von during the podcast via TMZ.
Although the 31-year-old dancer and Ziering made it to the semifinals in season 4 of the hit ABC series in 2007, she revealed that she couldn’t bear working with him.
Co-hosts Weiss and Von sympathized with her, saying that there was something off about Ziering's appearance on The Celebrity Apprentice last year. He seemed "very intense" and in the moment.
“That’s the true colors that they didn’t show on Dancing With The Stars," she said. "Think of spending time with that for eight to 10 hours a day, seven days a week for three months."
Things apparently got so intense between them, Burke even begged the show's producers at one point to kick them off the show. Burke, who left DWTS in 2014 after season 19, revealed that, “[It] made me want to slit my wrists. I was like crying to the execs, ‘is there any way to just eliminate us?’ and they’re like ‘we can’t do that.’ And I swear to God every time I’d ask, we just kept going. We lasted til the end.”

She never won again but did record eight other Top-5 finishes — including placing in with Ziering.
Ziering, meanwhile, made a name for himself on "Beverly Hills, 90210" before landing the lead role of Fin Shepard in the fan-favorite Sharknado series.
