There is only one episode left in Lucifer, and it's beginning to look like the Prince of Darkness might have to leave Earth to go back to his home turf. But will "Take Me Back to Hell" actually bring Tom Ellis' Lucifer Morningstar back to the Underworld before he finds out why Chloe Dancer (Lauren German) isn't affected by his powers?
Ellis recently spoke to Comic Book Resources, where he teased about what to expect in Season 1's last episode.
"Viewers can expect a few bombshells," Ellis said, adding that the season finale's title already offers a hint to what can happen.
"The one thing I can tease about the episode is throughout the whole season, I've been asked, 'Are we ever going to see Hell?' In the finale, yes, we do," he revealed. "That's all I'm going to say."
Ellis also discussed what could happen in the second season, which will deal with Chloe's true identity.
"It's going to be an opportunity to explore the relationships amongst the other characters as well," he said. "The idea of who Chloe is, we still have to get to the bottom of that."
In addition to that, it looks like we may finally discover a connection between the police officer and the Prince of Hell.
"There's also the notion about Chloe and Lucifer and why their paths have been put together," Ellis stated. "That's something that's going to be driving the show forward."
The Strain alum also teased about a scene in "Take Me Back to Hell" that he wants to be developed in the second season.
"There's something that happens at the end of the finale that I'm very excited about exploring in Season 2, but I'm not going to spoil it for you," Ellis concluded.
"Take Me Back to Hell," the Lucifer season finale, will air on Fox on April 25.
