FX The Americans S04E10: Munchkins Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys Jennings Premiere Recap

FX continues with the Season 4 premiere of The Americans. In episode 10, Munchkins, will Elizabeth (Kerri Russell) and Philip (Matthew Rhys) Jennings be able to keep their family safe as they go deeper undercover?

As Elizabeth has dinner with her friend Young Hee, Bob is having trouble being in the same room with them. Philip talks to Paige (Holly Taylor) about his family. 

Gabriel (Frank Langella) explains the virus will be ready in a few weeks, but he needs the codes from Elizabeth. Philip is worried about realizing an epidemic. Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) mocks his boss as he invites his partner for a drink. Stan doesn't want to be alone with Martha's Dad. 

Alice, Pastor Tim's wife, enters the household with bad news. Tim is missing in Ethiopia. Alice accuses Elizabeth and Philip of being involved. She has a tape ready in case Tim doesn't return. If Tim doesn't return, the tape will go to the Justice Department.

Philip looks at his wife and daughter, who is in tears. Even Elizabeth is doubting her parent's involvement in Pastor Tim's disappearance. Philip tries to assure his daughter that they didn't make this happen. Philip wonders if Gabriel had something to do with it. Elizabeth wonders if they do have to run. 

Paige pays a visit to the church and learn Pastor Tim's jeep was found, but no driver. She then meets with Alice, who has a difficult time looking at her. Paige cries as she wraps her arms around Alice; they're both scared. 

Drinking with Martha's father, Stan and his partner try to console him. Because it is an ongoing investigation, Stan and his partner are not going to give up searching for her. Paige returns home but she doesn't want to look at them. 

Paige wonders if Alice will indeed send the tape. She wants to know where they will live. Elizabeth explains that they had nothing to do with Pastor Tim's disappearance. Stan's former boss is cornered by KGB agents. Unfortunately, they end up killing him by accident.

As Stan's former boss dies bleeding on the floor, Philip gets from tape from his teenage girlfriend. She reveals that her father works for the CIA. Paige ends up hanging out with Stan's son. As the son, Matthew, reveals there's a spy in the FBI, Paige talks about Alice and the church.

Back at the church, Paige learns that Pastor Tim has been found. Alice takes Paige to the back, and offers her apologies to her. Elizabeth learns from Young that a rift has been formed between her and her husband. After Paige tells her folks what happened to Pastor Tim, Elizabeth explains that truth matters.

Paige asks, when are her parents going to tell her brother? Stan learns from his partner that their former boss is dead.
