"Arrow" S04E23 "Schism" Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards Finale Recap

The CW Network airs with the Season 4 finale of Arrow. In episode 23, Schism, can Stephen Amell/Green Arrow (Oliver Queen) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) win the fight against Damien Dhark (Neal McDonough)?

Damien storms into Felicity's apartment and puts his hands on Felicity's mother. Though the Green Arrow and Diggle fight back, Damien still wounds Curtis. Back at the Arrow-cave, Felicity tires to work her magic on finding Damien's lair.

Arrow and the team end up turing on Damien's computers. The launch codes have been set and the missiles are ready to fire. Felicity realizes that she only has 2 hours to stop the nuclear apocalypse. To protect Felicity's mother, Quentin drivers her out of the city. 

In the past, Oliver finds himself in a dangerous situation with Diana. She wants Oliver to kill her. He snaps Diana's neck and lays her dead body down. Back in the present, ARGUS attempts to put down Damien but he has the upper-hand. 

With the arrow-cave under siege, the Green Arrow attempts to fight back. With Black Canary's costume in ruins, Felicity doesn't have the computers to continue. Now Oliver wonders if he hadn't returned, would Laurel still be alive?  

With Curtis wounded and walking, he reminds Oliver that the Green Arrow gave him inspiration to fight for his home. With the city in chaos, Oliver tries to stop the looting and gives a rousing speech. The news repeats Oliver's speech on their screens; we must stand united. 

With the nuke close enough, Curtis and Felicity can hack into its system. Everyone watches as the missile changes direction and steers somewhere else. Diggle reveals to his wife that he didn't kill his brother in self-defense. She understands but he knows it's too complicated.

The Green Arrow shows up at the cave where Damien and his daughter are hiding. Arrow ends up fighting Damien as Malcolm helps the others take down his men. Damien doesn't want his daughter to live without his mother. 

The citizens of Star City stand together, screaming for Damien to get out of their home. Damien uses to magic to take the entire crowd down.The crowd stands back up as Damien's magic has no effect on Arrow. The crowd cheers for the Arrow as he fights for them. 

 As the fighting continues, the crowd joins in on and strikes back against Damien's men. Quentin helps out Arrow get back on his feet. While Diggle and his wife are giving their own beatdown, Arrow stabs Damien in the heart. 

Quentin reveals he is no longer with the police force and thanks Oliver for his closure. Thea realizes she has to give up being Speedy. Diggle reveals he needs to leave city and shakes Oliver's hand. 

Before the idol is taken away, Amanda Waller tells Oliver that killing may be the only way to justice. Felicity and Oliver visit Laurel's grave; he's at war with himself. Getting a call, Oliver is now appointed as the new Mayor of Star City. 

Felicity stands with Oliver as they stare at their hideout in ruins.
