Although the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards aired just over a week ago on August 28, two of the most-discussed artists of the night have yet to exit the spotlight, and the continued hype has pushed ticket prices on the resale market for both respective tours. Beyonce, who has one month left of her Formation World Tour, and Kanye West, who recently kicked off his Saint Pablo Tour, are commanding two of the top-priced tours this fall.
Beyonce took the stage at the VMA's for an entire 15 minutes to perform tracks from her recent record, Lemonade. The singer also took home a moon man for both Video of the Year for "Formation," as well as Best Female Video for "Hold Up." Tickets for her remaining dates spiked in price following her appearance at the VMAs, and with a month left to catch the Queen out on the road, tickets are currently averaging $228. Beyonce's September 7 stop at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is averaging an impressive $240, with the cheapest ticket available for $59. On September 26, Bey will appear at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia, where tickets are averaging $273, with the cheapest ticket going for $65. Beyonce will wrap up her tour in Nashville on October 2 at the Nissan Stadium, where tickets are averaging $205, with the cheapest ticket priced at $57, according to data provided by TicketIQ.
Tickets to see Kanye West, who launched his headlining trek a few weeks ago in August, are also in high demand, and currently average $190. The rapper was scheduled to perform at this year's VMA Awards until he changed his mind mid-show, and instead addressed the crowd with a speech, all before premiering his new music video for the song "Fade."
Kanye's tour will run throughout October, wrapping up on November 1. He will make stops in cities like Washington, D.C., on September 8, where tickets for the Verizon Center show are averaging $241, with the cheapest ticket priced at $90. On September 16 and 17, the rapper will appear for two nights at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida, where tickets for both shows are averaging $176, with the lowest ticket registering at $45. He will wrap his tour with several performances at The Forum in Los Angeles between October 25 and November 1, with tickets averaging $182 for all four nights, and the cheapest going for just $70.
Kanye West's tour supports his seventh studio effort, The Life Of Pablo, which was released back in February.
