Even though Microsoft is making progress with their Windows 10 devices, especially the Surface phones and tablets, much debate still dominates all windows phone forums on whether they are really worth a try. One predominant drawback that is still pushing consumers away from buying windows phones, is the slow rollout of their smartphones, not to mention the apparent inadequacy of Windows phone apps. All the same, we should understand that Windows phones are still a new item in the market and we must give them time.
HP has decided to join the race by releasing their all new HP Elite X3 business phone. The phone has a large display that measures 5.96 inches. So this is not your standard smart phone and if you are going to buy it, you'll need some pretty large pockets for ferrying it. Tech Radar actually compares the size of the Elite X3 to that of a Kindle book. The phone has a high resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels, something that will help it have an edge over other competitors like Nexus 6.
According to The Verge, this smartphone will come with a charging dock that allows it to be connected to other computer components like a keyboard or a mouse, so that it runs exactly like your desktop PC. This feature, which Microsoft is calling the Continuum utility, is what qualifies the Elite X3 to be a good business phone, since you can interact with it seamlessly, just like you do on your computer or laptop.
All the same, HP should have been a bit wiser not to lean on that feature alone as their stronghold in the phone. Many critics have argued that the utility is not enough to win the consumer's heart and something must be done to make all Windows Phones user friendlier.
