Ever since Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 begun its overheating breakdowns, things have been working out very well for Apple's iPhone 7. Even so, the iPhone 7 stands at a very high risk of being outperformed by Google's latest entry into the market.
Google has sort the help of Apple's hoariest enemy, HTC, in developing what the company is now publicizing as the Google Pixel and Pixel XL. The Google Pixels are the new replacement of what we knew as the Nexus 6P.The two phones will be available for buyers as of this week, from October 20th, with major shipments to other continents expected in about a week or two.
Tech Times argues that Google might have been a little bit selfish when developing these two phones. Apparently, they are among the very few smartphones that will present the full potentiality in Google's Android 7.1 Nougat. Other subsequent phones from competitors will definitely feature Android 7.1 Nougat, but they won't enjoy the full-range features of this Android version. Google has maintained a 'My OS, My rule' kind of attitude and this might be the reason why even newer phones running on Android V7.1 Nougat might not outdo Google's Pixel and Pixel XL.
Considering the way the both Pixels have been portrayed in most online platforms, especially in Lifehacker, Apple has every reason to be afraid of these two releases. At the least, Apple's iOS in iPhone 7 won't hold up if put up against Android 7.1 Nougat, especially when it comes to user experience. Even after a decade of iOS development, Apple still maintains its plain interface which critics today associate with 3 year old kids and senior citizens. The younger lot which is more interested in space-age interfaces, would rather run on the more sophisticated Android Nougat.
The problem with Apple fanatics is that, they are so fixated on hardware quality in Apple gadgets, that they forget that the Software part is also as good as the hardware part. All the same, this might not be the case with the Google Pixel and Pixel XL, since Google has done some massive improvements in the hardware properties of these two phones.
The two Pixel phones will have 4GB in RAM and up to 128 GB in storage memory. The cameras are 12.3 MP cameras and the screen resolution is a likable one. The Google Pixel will have a screen resolution of 1080 by 1920 pixels, while the Pixel XL will have 1440 by 2560 pixels in resolution. Both phones will also feature a 3.5 mm headphone jack, something that Apple discourteously ignored in their iPhone 7.
