It was also reported that both of them wanted to adopt a girl. Stefani already has three boys: Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8 and Apollo, 2. She can't wait for her boys to finally have a sister. A source said that they might adopt a baby or a toddler; they are ready to do whatever it takes to have a baby girl by 2017.
Shelton is already taking in the role of a father to Stefani's boys. He took them hiking and recently to a trip to Disneyland. She said that these activities are practice for him and seeing her man with her boys make her fall in love with him more.
Meanwhile, the couple performed at the White House for President Barack Obama's final state dinner Tuesday night, October 18. The president himself made a short introduction for No Doubt's vocalist; she performed "The Sweet Escape" in front of a famous crowd including Vice President Joe Biden, First Lady Michelle Obama, Rachel Ray, Giorgio Armani, Mario Batali and more. The dinner also honored Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and wife Agnese Landini who were in the US.
After her first song; Shelton joined her on stage and together they sang "Go Ahead and Break My Heart." This song was from Shelton's album "If I'm Honest." According to Inquisitir, those who witnessed the two perform said that Shelton and Stefani sang as if they were the only ones in the room.
Shelton admitted that the song was very dear to him and Stefani because they wrote it together. The couple were seated on the same table but from opposite ends and they were spotted chatting with people nearby. Other performers who graced the formal event were Frank Ocean, James Taylor and Chance the Rapper.
It was also announced by NBC that Stefani will return as a judge in "The Voice." She will be joining her soon-to-be husband Shelton on the 12th season of the widely-popular singing contest.
