Since the release of the "Skyrim Special Edition" update 1.1, gamers from all platforms including PC, PS4 and Xbox One experienced crashes. Game maker Bethesda has released update 1.2 in order to roll out the fixes for the PC. They have requested PS4 and Xbox One gamers to wait out the console patch.

To give a brief overview, the "Skyrim Special Edition" 1.1 update was meant to bring in performance and optimization upgrades as well as fix some specific issues. Bethesda released the update on PC and on the console last week but instead of resolving minor issues; gamers have complained that the update caused their games to crash.

Many "Skyrim Special Edition" gamers posted on Reddit and detailed the incident. According to the posters, since updating to 1.1, their game would crash after a few minutes. Some people said that they were able to save their progress before the game crashed while others experienced their game freezing and closing while in the intro.

The 1.2 update beta for "Skyrim Special Edition" has just been released for PC and Bethesda has asked console gamers to wait for their respective patch. According to the game company's support thread, the fixes are meant to improve performance and game stability.

It was also aimed to fix water flow rendering in bodies of water in Skyim, minimize crash issues with characters turning human back from werewolf form, the alt-tab issue including other bugs as well. PS4 and Xbox One Players may need to wait for a few days before their own 1.2 update.

Bethesda did not release an official statement as to why the "Skyrim Special Edition" 1.1 update caused all the issues. However, they did acknowledge users who reported the issue on their support forums and through their Twitter account.
