Disney has released an official trailer for the live-action version of "Beauty and the Beast" Monday, November 14.
While "Beauty and the Beast" trailer teased viewers on the amazing scenes and awesome CG action in the movie, there was something missing in the two-minute clip --the cast did not sing. This made the fans of Disney's classic cartoon to reminisce the songs they loved from the movie and speculate how it would sound if Emma Watson, Dan Stevens and the rest of the cast were to sing them.
Billboard posted six songs that they would love to hear from "Beauty and the Beast" and these includes the classic songs from the original cartoon movie as well as two original songs made exclusively for the live action version.
The first song that they are looking forward to hearing is "Something There" which will be performed by Emma Watson as Belle. The song will also include Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere and Dan Stevens as the Beast. This song is a favorite since it features Belle's blossoming feelings towards the Beast.
Another classic is the heartwarming "Beauty and the Beast" tune which will be performed by Emma Thompson. This will be a challenge for the actress since she will be filling the shoes of the great Angela Lansbury who voiced Mrs. Potts in the cartoon. Finally, the song "Be Our Guest" is an all-time favorite of many because of its lively tempo and crazy dining room scene. Ewan McGregor's performance as Lumiere is something to look forward to in the movie according to many fans.
"Belle" is a new song to be sung by the 26-year-old British actress which will introduce her character in the movie. Finally, "For Evermore" is another original which will be about Beast singing how he feels about Belle as he lets her be with her father.
Meanwhile, NIEUWSNL reported how the cast along with their director, Bill Condon, got together for a live Q and A in Facebook. The group talked about the movie as well as how they sang their respective parts. The report also mentioned that this is Emma Watson's biggest role since she played Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" movies.
"Beauty and the Beast" premieres on March 17, 2017.
