Jim Parsons shares a very sweet message on Instagram in celebration of his anniversary with boyfriend of 14 years, Todd Spiewak.
The Big Bang Theory actor poured out his heartfelt message saying "I met this guy (the one with the mic) 14 years ago today and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, no contest. One of his greatest gifts to me is that he no longer takes me to sing karaoke." Jim also shares that the photo was taken not with a phone but an actual camera, he explains "as our phones couldn't do that back then hahaha! #todd #anniversary."
According to E News, Jim felt relieved when he came out the closet in an interview with James Lipton on Inside the Actors Studio. Parsons stated the he never had a "coming out piece" nor did he ever felt the need to mention it. Jim first came out when he did a piece with Patrick Healy for The New York Times back in May 2012, he was asked whether it was meaningful for him working on "The Normal Heart" as a gay man which he answered yes.
And in a report from People, the topic of marriage was brought up in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres back in May 2014. However, the actor explained that there was no need to rush marriage. Jim Parsons said, "I feel like I haven't been enthusiastic enough about it and now I feel like I'm a loser for the cause."
